Man Arrested and Charged Following Bank Robberies

One man has been arrested by Surrey Police Service (SPS) and is now charged with two Criminal Code offences following two alleged bank robberies that occurred in Surrey earlier this week.
On June 6, 2026, at approx. 10:50 am, SPS Frontline officers responded to a report of a bank robbery near 104 Avenue and King George Boulevard where one man allegedly threatened staff that he had a weapon and departed with money. A suspect was not located. There were no reported injuries.
On June 8, 2026, at approx. 11:00 am, SPS Frontline officers responded to a report of a bank robbery near 128 Street and 96 Avenue where one man allegedly threatened staff that he had a weapon and departed with money. A suspect was not located. There were no reported injuries.
The investigations remained with SPS Frontline officers, and with the assistance of Integrated Forensics Identification Services (IFIS), and Real Time Intelligence Center (RTIC), officers were able to identify a suspect and arrest him on June 9, 2026.
On June 10, 2026, Gregory Roca Bates Pedro, a 22-year-old male, has now been charged with two counts of robbery.
Gregory Roca Bates Pedro is currently remanded in custody until his next court appearance on June 15, 2026.
