2025-36419 (SP)

Surrey Police Service (SPS) is appealing for the public’s help to identify a suspect in a theft of a scooter that has left the victim without their primary mode of transportation.

On May 6, 2025, at approximately 2:50 pm, the victim parked their blue electric scooter outside the Walmart Superstore in the 10100 block King George Boulevard, Surrey. When they returned about 15 minutes later, their scooter was gone.

Investigators have identified a suspect, described as a 30-50-year-old scruffy-looking white male, approximately 5’7” tall, with a slim build. He’s seen on surveillance (See photos and videos) wearing black shoes, dark pants, a grey hoodie with a “Reebok” triangle-shaped logo and lettering on the front, a white baseball cap, and sunglasses. He’s seen getting on the scooter, starting it, and then riding away northbound towards 102 Avenue.

The victim, a single mother who uses the scooter as her primary mode of transportation, is hoping for the recovery and return of her scooter as soon as possible, as being without it has significantly impacted her ability to support her family.

Surrey Police Service are asking anyone who may have information on the scooter theft or the suspect to please call the SPS’s non-emergency phone number at 604-599-0502 and quote file 25-36419 (SP) or, if you’d prefer to remain anonymous, to contact Crime Stoppers at www.solvecrime.ca or 1-800-222-8477.
