Surrey Police Service is investigating a targeted arson that occurred at a Surrey business in the early morning of January 21, 2025 that has significantly damaged three large trucks.

Shortly after 4:30 am on January 21, 2025, Surrey Police Service Frontline officers responded to a report of several large trucks on fire at a business located in the 13300 block 78th Avenue, Surrey. When the officers arrived, Surrey Fire Service was on scene and in the process of extinguishing fires on three separate five ton box trucks belonging to a business. There was no other damage to any vehicles or nearby buildings.

While it is still early in the investigation and the motive remains unknown, evidence collected thus far indicates that this is a targeted arson. At this time, it is believed that there are two suspects, both possibly males between the ages of 16 and 40 who were dressed all in black and were wearing face covers. It is believed that they left the area in a dark coloured sedan.
