Surrey Police Service Adds Second Media Relations Officer
Surrey Police Service (SPS) is pleased to announce Sergeant Tige Pollock has joined SPS’s Communications Section as the agency’s second Media Relations Officer (MRO). Sergeant Pollock and SPS’s Senior Media Relations Officer, Staff Sergeant Lindsey Houghton, are responsible for providing media and the public with information related to public safety and police incidents taking place in Surrey.
Sergeant Tige Pollock has 24 years of policing experience, the first 22 years with the Toronto Police Service and the last two with SPS. Sergeant Pollock has worked in frontline policing, criminal investigations, and recruiting, and he has also worked as a Duty Officer and in the Corporate Projects Section with Toronto Police Service. Since joining SPS in September 2022, Tige has worked on the Frontline in SPS’s Community Policing Bureau.
