Two people have been taken to hospital following a three-vehicle collision at the intersection of 96 Avenue and 140 Street, Surrey.

At approximately 10:40 am RCMP Surrey Provincial Operations Support Unit (SPOSU) officers responded to calls of a multi-vehicle collision at the intersection of 96 Avenue and 140 Street, Surrey. Both the driver and passenger of one vehicle were taken to hospital after being removed from their vehicle by Surrey Fire Service. Initially, police were advised that neither of their injuries were considered serious, but after further examination at hospital, the passenger appears to have suffered serious injuries.  

The cause of the collision is under investigation at this early stage and the Surrey POSU Criminal Collision Investigation Team (CCIT) has been called in to investigate.

There are currently multiple road closures in all directions around the intersection of 96 Avenue and 140 Street. Motorists are encouraged to find alternate routes.
